This corn has been cultivated and passed down for more than 200 generations of local farmers.

It has a distinct, exceptional taste that whiskey imparts.

By using nixtamalization (a 4,000-year-old cooking technique), Abasolo reveals the deep flavors found in corn.

This process has never been used in the production of whiskey, but is common in Mexico for the preparation of corn as a food.

This whiskey has deep, subtle notes of roasted corn, honey, vanilla, black tea and leather.

This unique flavor profile is only released through the nixtamalization process.
