This pack contains: 1 x Abasolo Whiskey 70cl 1 x NIXTA Corn Liqueur 35cl Abasolo Whiskey gift pack
From the birthplace of corn comes a Mexican whiskey that aims to reinvent the corn whiskey category.
Abasolo is the first distillery in Mexico that is truly dedicated to whiskey production.
Abasolo El Whiskey De Mexico (Mexican Whiskey) is distilled from 100% Mexican Cacahuazintle (kaka-wha-SINT-lay) corn.
This corn has been cultivated and passed down for more than 200 generations of local farmers.
It has a distinct, exceptional taste that whiskey imparts.
By using nixtamalization (a 4,000-year-old cooking technique), Abasolo reveals the deep flavors found in corn.
This process has never been used in the production of whiskey, but is common in Mexico for the preparation of corn as a food.
This whiskey has deep, subtle notes of roasted corn, honey, vanilla, black tea and leather.
This unique flavor profile is only released through the nixtamalization process.
This ensures that the ancestry of Mexican corn is honored and is unlike any other whiskey profile.
Perfect Serving:
To fully appreciate the unique flavors of this whiskey, we recommend drinking it neat, with one large ice cube. Garnish with one slice of orange.
CORN LIQUOR NIXTA 35CL 30%
This is an ancient corn liqueur from Jilotepec, Mexico, which is known as the birthplace of corn.
Cachauazintle corn is grown in the valleys and at the foot of the Nevado de Toluca volcano.
Nixta provides textural silkiness and rich, broad flavor versatility - adding unique, sweet or savory components to cocktails.
Nixta can also be enjoyed neat or on ice, as well as used in puddings and baking.
Origin Nixta Licor de Elote is a Mexican corn liqueur made from the fine cacahuazintle corn that is grown in the high valleys and at the foot of the Nevado de Toluca volcano in the state of Mexico.
Nixta is made at Destilería y Bodega Abasolo, where it honors Mexico's corn culture and the ancestral craft of nixtamalization - a 4,000-year-old Mesoamerican cooking technique that brings out the deepest flavors and aromas of corn.
