RESERVA ESPECIAL - The pleasure of complexity

At the end of the 19th century, wines from Tarragona enjoyed great international prestige.

At that time, our ancestors from Padró produced liqueur wines in the style of the "great wines" of the time: At a time when more than 20,000 cars appeared on the market, more than 200,000 cars appeared on the market.

In 1947, these fortified wines were the first to be regulated under the Tarragona Denominación de Origen or Appellation and were given the name Tarragona Clásicos.

We wanted to make a vermouth from a sweet liqueur wine called Tarragona Clásico, which has been aged for 5 years in 7,000-liter oak barrels and which we have been using in our winemaking for generations. We add a small amount of this wine to the solera wine in the final vermouth blend, of course, along with our special touch of vermouth herbs.

The vermouth is then aged for at least 18 months in sherry barrels.

Aroma: Intense and distinctive.

Strong aroma after longer maturation: dried figs, roasted hazelnuts and green walnuts.

Mouth: Aroma: warm and rich at the beginning, giving way to licorice and medicinal herbs, shrouded in sweet notes and a bitter touch.

Vermouth made from a unique infusion of aromatic herbs and aged in a barrel before bottling in our winery.
