Lokita is made from carefully selected mature varieties of agave that come from perfectly diverse regions and are characterized by a balance of the mineral profile of the southern clay soils and the delicate fruit and floral notes of the Jalisco highlands.
Our agaves are slowly roasted in wood-fired ovens to enhance the intense expression of their tones. It is double distilled in copper stills and stills to give your taste buds the perfect smoothness.
Tasting notes
Color: Bright amber
Smell: Delight in the elegant smell of toasted agave, a rich mixture of plums and tangerines with a touch of orange blossom and jasmine. Enjoy the pleasant tones of oak and toasted almonds.
Taste: Lots of character with a slight smoky edge. Ripe agave stands out in a long and complex finish with notes of caramel, oak and cherry, followed by a smoky aftertaste.
Pairing: Woody notes and hints of caramel make it ideal with typical "sweet-hot" Mexican dishes such as mole and cochinita pibil. It goes well with roast meat and desserts.

Ageing: 14 months in 225l French oak barrels previously used for wine aging
Distillation: Double. Copper pot still and distillation column for greater smoothness.
