This rum from Barbados is a molasses rum, aged for 12 years exclusively in Barbados, in American bourbon oak casks.
For its production, sugarcane of the Romana and Cubana varieties is used, which is harvested only once a year between December and May, continuously day and night. Fermentation takes 12 to 16 hours and distillation is carried out using four distillation columns. After that, the rum with around 65% alcohol by volume is poured into barrels and left to mature in Barbados, whose tropical climate gives it an exotic aroma. Bocathéva 12-year-old rum offers gourmet notes of candied fruit and a rounded finish.
