El Hispano Jalapeño Liquor is a sugar cane alcohol that is made from molasses in a column at around 65°C.
Fresh seedless jalapeños are then added to a tank of alcohol where they macerate for 45 to 60 days.
After this maceration, the liquid is filtered. The alcohol level is reduced to 30° with clean water. Brown sugar is added at the end of the process. It is perfectly balanced between round, warm and spicy notes.
This liqueur comes from the original recipe of the Pacheco family and has never been bottled before. The Pacheco family agreed to bottle it specifically for BBC Spirits.
