JJ Whitley spent much of his childhood in old Gregorian and Victorian vicarages, most recently in Daresbury, where the writer Lewis Carroll was born. These parsonages always included extensive gardens and greenery where young JJ played. As he grew up, the English countryside became a natural source for the basic ingredients of excellent recipes, such as this elderberry gin, which is made from the extract of a real elderflower.
Tasting notes: The candied sweetness is dominated by the unmistakable edge of elderflower and honey.
